TransUnion Canada Appoints Sam Stravato as Chief Information Officer

TransUnion today announces the appointment of Sam Stravato as its Chief Information Officer for its Canadian operations. Stravato will be responsible for leading TransUnion's IT strategic and operational planning for the market.

At TransUnion, Stravato will utilize his more than 14 years experience in the financial services industry in leading TransUnion's informational technology business practices to support its products and services. Stravato joins TransUnion from AIC Group Funds, where he led several technology initiatives and ventures and served as the company's head of IT organizational structure.

"Sam is a highly-regarded thought leader in global information technology in the financial services space," said Ken Porter, president of TransUnion in Canada. "His distinguished career in IT and unique insight in financial services industry will greatly complement our goal of promoting our products and services throughout Canada and in other countries where TransUnion operates."

Stravato previously served as manager of C.I. Mutual Funds and as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.
